The Gates of Horn and Ivory

Two Gates the silent House of Sleep adorn; Of polish'd Iv'ry this, that of transparent Horn:
True Visions thro' transparent Horn arise; Thro' polish'd Iv'ry pass deluding Lies.

I wasn't impressed. I pretty much guessed the plot after the first chapter. I guess he might be kinda juvenile for me now though. Job was one of my favorite books, and I reread that around 6 months ago and couldn't remember what I saw in it. :(

Just got 130 Projects to get you into Filmmaking by Elliot Grove and Digital Filmmaking for Beginners A Practical Guide to Video Production by Micheal Hughes from the library loan system, now to see if i can try some tips for my hobby and maybe make some new videos for my youtube over the weekend though i can't vlog(i can't record myself with the cam i have to save my life and dunno where my dollarstore tripod went when they packed my stuff up) to try and speed up my vacation from school since their making me wait until July 2nd to findout more(bordem seems to drag time on extra slow). Maybe i can get my friend Josh to help me make some entertaining videos tonite for fun if he's not busy too...

Ah, so much fun! My roomie was in film school for a while, those people do all kinds of crazy things. I've never taken part in such a thing myself though. As a matter of fact, I think I have only been caught in a video during the digital age one time.

I'm still hopping between Game of Thrones and Way of the Oracle. I miss having an attention span.

I miss the days when I am so enthralled by a book that I read it during dinner and into the wee hours.

I finished reading Blood of Elves by Andrzej Sapkowski. It was really good. I started reading Fool Moon by Jim Butcher after I finished Blood of Elves, it's been on my to-read list for years, figured I'd finally knock if off of there.

As part of my birthday gift my wonderful husband bought me the first two Honorverse comics, which were amazing. But now that I've read them I want the rest to be out. Stupid month between issues. :(

Awww. I am still dithering over reading Game of Thrones. In the meantime I am reading some hardcore sci-fi to cleanse my palette.

Finished Game of Thrones a while ago, it was fantastic. Also finished a couple more Honor Harrington books and the first of the Dragonlance Chronicles, all of which were also fantastic. Fool Moon was good, though to be perfectly honest Jim Butcher isn't the greatest author. His story was entertaining, but skill wise I'd say he's about average.

Also gave up on Way of the Oracle. It's hard to take something like channeling seriously when the author plainly states that tarot cards don't work, only mediumship does. Got some good tarot and chakra/kundalini books to go through though, and at least the chakra/kundalini one is by an author I like, Anodea Judith. I have another of her books, that mixes the more Eastern chakra stuff with more Western themes, and it's fantastic.

Started Scattered Seeds Mroz recently, not the most interesting book i've picked up but interesting enough that i should be able to finish soon without any dread/pain from reading. Sperm Donation is an odd topic to write a book on though...Also started The Untold History Of Healing by Wolf D. Storl as well.

Love*Com & the Kimi Ni Todoke manga series i also just picked up- haven't read the genre in a while, but i am liking both. :)

I haven't read for pleasure at all this year. On my desk, I have a Conrad collection, and Dune, which are my next two targets. But I am so busy, busy, busy. And yet not, lol.
