Well now we've effectively ran everyone out of this thread, probably a couple pages ago. But it's my thread so you can all suck it! Just kidding I love you guys haha... I should apologize for my delay too, my screwy brain and borderline alcoholism got the best of me for a couple days there lol, but you probably figured (drunk leprechaun day wasn't quite what I expected this year). On a brighter note I got a job during that time. You make an interesting point on language but even insects can tell the difference between submission and aggressiveness, where do you draw the line? Then again that's what you were asking me to begin with, my line is apparently just a little different. I've seen a bird that will bless you out for no reason, and one that whistles the theme to Andy Griffith, that doesn't mean he has any clue what he just said. Again with the shelter, spiders make holes, fish live in dead cedar trees and tires under the water, bees build hives. It's all instinct. That's the difference: Human creativity and desire to improve. And I've never heard of a gorilla that raises cats, that is quite odd I must say. By the way, my dog is a jackass, sometimes I hate him lol. He just happens to understand more than most people try to teach their dogs (not to say I don't have to tell him a few times, or remind him what he's supposed to be doing). The key was always trying to talk to him like you would a child instead of one-word commands, and using visual cues. They seem to have the intellect of about a two-year old.
